There are a wide range of activites in the area from golf at either Teignmouth, Teign Valley or Stover, sailing and boat trips from Teignmouth, where you can also enjoy fresh cockles on back beach or take the foot ferry to Shaldon, a picturesque village with narrow cobbled streets and lovely coffee shops on the estuary.

There is also an excellent 'blue flag' family beach at Dawlish Warren - just 15 minutes drive away.

Horse riding can be arranged at a BHS approved riding centre in the village or why not bring your own horse. We have stables and excellent grazing at the Mill and would be pleased to escort you on hacks or advise on lovely rides to take around the lanes or over nearby Ideford Common.

There are many lovely walks in the area and the Dartmoor National Park is only a short distance away.

horse-racing at either Exeter or Newton Abbot - both are very close by

Visit the 'Spirit of Teignmouth' on the Den at Teignmouth - an ocean going yacht currently under construction.

Take the steam train from Totnes to Dartmouth and sail back along the beautiful Dart estuary

Visit the lovely market town of Ashburton with its excellent range of antique shops.

Other local towns well worth visiting are Topsham, Buckfastleigh and Totnes.
